In BC and across Canada, referral remuneration flows brokerage to brokerage between licensees. Genesis is software that introduces you — it collects nothing, so there's no licensing tangle and no reason to hide the fee. Write the fee on the card, paper it with your brokerage's referral agreement, and get on with it.
What you see about each agent: referrals sent, received, completed, completion rate, how fast they reply, and whether they're a verified Genesis member. Stats only move when both sides confirm.
What this is. A working board for licensed real estate professionals across Canada to refer clients to each other, ask for referrals, and talk shop. It is run by Genesis Arc as software; Genesis is not a brokerage and takes no part of any fee.
1. Licensed professionals only. You attested at sign-up that you hold a licence in good standing. If that changes, your account goes.
2. Real estate, referrals, and the business of being an agent. Clients, markets, brokerages, forms, financing, moving, neighbourhoods, tools, events, and ordinary friendly talk between colleagues. Nothing else — no sexual content, no drugs, no politics or religion debates, no unrelated sales, no dating, no scams or get-rich schemes.
3. Client details stay private. Names, phone numbers, emails and addresses of clients never go on the public stream — they belong in the direct message that opens when a referral is claimed. ARIA holds public posts that contain them.
4. Respect. Be blunt about markets, not about people. No harassment, slurs, threats or discrimination of any kind (the Human Rights Code applies to how you treat clients and colleagues here as anywhere).
5. Fees are between brokerages. Write the proposed fee on the card; paper it with your brokerage's referral agreement. Genesis never collects or calculates a fee and no one may present it as doing so.
6. Both sides confirm. A referral counts as Referred or Completed only when both agents mark it. Do not mark what did not happen — stats are public and others rely on them.
7. One account, one person. No bots, no automated posting, no shared logins, no throwaway emails. Repeated or flooded posts are treated as spam.
8. One warning. ARIA reviews every post and reply before it is shown. Anything against these rules is removed automatically and you get one warning by email. A second removal ends your access — by account, email and network. Report anything ARIA missed with ⚑ on the post.
9. Your data. Your email and cell are shown only inside conversations you take part in. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can ask to delete your profile at any time (posts are anonymised, aggregate stats kept).
